The second round of the Lion Cup was the highlight of the latest round-up of the weekend.

The all Clarendon tie in the under 9’s saw the Reds edge out the Whites in a 10-goal thriller at Barry’s Fields.

Rory Bruce-Ball, Albert Hatfield and Max Organ each scored twice for the Reds to seal their place in then next round, with the Whites replying through a Gene Dunn double, and goals from Dom Pike and Carlos Campbell.

Both under 10’s teams advanced to the next round with away wins.

Ollie Clayden scored his 100th goal for the club with two goals in his 50th appearance as the under 10’s Reds saw off Shooters Black.
Jack Haigh also passed the 100 goals mark with a hatrick, another player to bag 3 was Finlay Evans. Olly Dobson scored twice with Declan Burden scoring to complete the win.

Another player to register a hatrick was Harry O’Donnell whose treble helped the under 10’s Whites get past Durrington Dragons. Alessio Murphy and Thomas Woodhouse-Smith also netted as Hugh Wood and Olly Harris made their 50th appearances.

There was another hatrick in the under 11’s Reds cup tie at Amesbury Hawks as Joey Ball netted 3 goals.
Ollie Hunt’s early goal set the tone before a Frankie Moody corner was helped in via the goalkeeper, and Ball set up Moody to finish before he took his three goals with an Amesbury goal sandwiched between.

The under 8’s Reds were involved in an epic encounter away at Durrington, with the hosts just winning through in an 18-goal fest.
Man of the match Luca Potgieter scored twice, along with Jay Burden. Jake Gamet, Charlie Malcolm, Sam Harris and an own goal completed their scoresheet.

Durrington will face the Whites in the next round after they saw off Whitchurch Blacks in their fixture.
Eithan Jn Charles, Freddie Trollope and Teddy Robinson each found the net twice while Declan Owens, Charlie Green, Lawson Mahony and a Warwick Mackett goal direct from a goal kick saw them safely through.

In the league the under 12’s picked up a straight forward 3 points at home to Andover Town Blues.
Oscar Smith grabbed 4 goals while Jacob Earle netted a hatrick.
Sam McKie scored twice with further goals from George Sutton, Joseph Butler, Josh Howton, Rory Rose and Harvey Smith.

Ben Leeming scored for the under 11’s whites at home to Whitchurch Reds.

Lucas Dear scored five goals as the under 7’s travelled to Tidworth Titans. Jack Chapman and a first goal for the club from Terence Fowler-Robinson were also on target.

The under 14’s reds lost 3-9 at home to top of the table South Wonston Swifts. Oliver Norman scored twice with Alex Durrans also adding to his recent tally.

The Under 16’s whites hosted top of the table Andover New Street on Friday night with James Greenwood playing his 50th match for the club.
New Street opened the scoring early on before scoring two more.
Jacob Nicholson pulled one back but two late goals from the visiting side saw them run out 5-1 winners.
