A round up of all our teams highlights from the weekends fixtures…

The new season kicked off in wonderful sunshine and with Barry’s Field packed to the rafters with 12 teams at home.

The under 16’s were one of the first to kick off as they hosted Fordingbridge Turks.
At half time they found themselves 3-0 down but a second half fight back saw Will Pischel score twice and Jacob Nicholson squeeze home, with a penalty also missed before Turks scored twice late on to record a 5-3 win.

The under 18’s also suffered an opening day loss as Worthys Reds left Barry’s Fields with all 3 points in a 2-0 win, George Burden made his 50th appearance on his return to the club.

In a seven goal thriller the under 15’s whites were just edged out against Sway Juniors. Alex Bagshaw scoring along with two goals from Matt Ball.

Craig Lomotey scored for the under 15’s reds as they travelled to Shooters Reds, but couldn’t avoid a 3-1 reverse.

The under 13s and kick off their league season at 11aside with a 4-0 win over Braishfield Bees. George Gower netting a hatrick and Harvey Smith also on target.

Salisbury Whites were the visitors for the u12’s Reds. After an unfortunate own goal gave them the lead, Archie Thomas scored twice with Frankie Moody scoring his 300th goal for the club before netting his second. Freddie Osborne completed the scoring to get three points on the board.

Josh Scott scored for the under 12’s Whites as they were beaten by a strong South Wonston Swift’s side in their opening league match.

Overton were the opposition for the under 11’s Reds as they made their debut at 9 aside.
Despite battling hard Jack Haigh’s strike wasn’t enough to avoid a narrow defeat.

Henry Bullen continued his preseason goal scoring form with another goal in the under 11’s Whites win at Worthys Reds. Olly Harris, Max McCaighy and Alessio Murphy also scoring.

Thomas Layet scored for the under 10’s Reds with Harley Moores also converting following a Jacob Rowe pass as they travelled to Durrington Dynamos.
Their player of the match was Ed Russell for a high energy performance, battling well for the ball and using it intelligently once he had won it.

Dom Pike scored twice - the first of which was his 50th for the club as the under 10’s Whites hosted Amesbury Spitfires. Stanley Knight and Carlos Campbell also netted braces with Kydon Broderick, Seb Punter, Charlie Maryon and Gene Dunn also registering with the latter also grabbing 3 assists.

Olly Barlow and Luca Potgieter both scored on their 50th appearance as the under 9’s Reds played Overton.
Jay Burden, Charlie Malcolm and Oliver Webb each scored hatricks with Jake Gamet scoring twice and Sam Harris also netting.

Eithan Jn Charles scored for the under 9’s Whites as they hosted Pace Youth.

The under 8’s Whites and Reds met in their first games of the season. Ethan Bentall and Toby Woodhouse-Smith both netted twice with Jake Gamet and Alfie Matthews scoring on his debut. Samuel Dawson scored on his debut for the Whites.

The Men’s Saturday team went out of the Hampshire League cup to Hook in what ended up a heavy defeat. Clarendon started the brightest, with Jed Doe missing a glorious opportunity after a great set price routine between captain Ross Bentall and Sam Harding.
Bentall then provided a chance for Ollie Steed, but his shot was at the ‘keeper.
Defender Lee Singleton then tried his luck from range mid way through the first half, and with a deflection from a Hook defender, the ball went past the keeper to give Clarendon the lead.
Tom Robinson made an excellent save from close range shortly after, but Hook did equalise just before half time, finally breaking down a solid Clarendon defence.
An injury to Paul Green saw him substituted along with Ross Bentall and Jed Doe, who were also carrying injuries which disrupted the side and saw them fall apart with Hook running riot to score 6 without reply in the second half.

On Sunday the Men’s hosted Harlequin Colts in their league opener and led 1-0 at the break thanks to an own goal which was turned in following a Asher McKeown cross.
The visitors levelled in the second half before firing home direct from a freekick to inflict a 2-1 defeat.
