The under 7’s whites took part in their third friendly of the season this weekend.

This was the third friendly match for Clarendon Juniors u7 Whites, and they certainly did not disappoint. Recently the team has been working on the tactical side, and they applied it to the game very well.

Teddy Robinson was first to score, with some good skill around the opposition goal area, and a calm placed finished to follow for the first of his two goals. Warwick Mackett was solid as always, stopping any attempt forward from the opposition, and also scored two goals. His highlight was a great run forward followed by a rocket in to the bottom corner.

Tom Latter turned up with his shooting boots, a fantastic performance from him, with 5 goals! Solid in a tackle and the ability to get forward to do his bit for the team makes him a great asset. Charlie Green’s development is clear to see. He scored again, for the second game in a row. He was unlucky to finish with only one goal, found space countless times, and adapted to the forward position very well applying pressure to the opposition defence.

Alfie Cumberland was unfortunate not get himself a goal in this match. Fearlessly trying to win the ball, he made some great tackles and had a couple of good runs forward. Alfie showed how versatile he is, playing in various roles and applying himself with a very good understand of what’s required. Declan Owens continued his record of scoring in every match so far. A tidy hat-trick made a good morning for him. Even with a good eye for goal, he helped out the defence, and his confidence is flying, proven by some daring dribbles and runs from the back.

A special mention to J’ayk Cull. Strong and solid putting in a shift is to only be admired. Towards the end of the match, he helped out the opposition due to some players that were unable to continue. This proved to cause trouble for our Clarendon side, as he continually broke down our attack. No matter where he plays on the pitch, gives his all.

Our Goalkeepers for this game were Declan Owens, J’ayk Cull and Alfie Cumberland who were all brilliant in the sticks.
