Current Vacant Positions to be filled immediately

Junior Membership Secretary - MINI-MIDI

  1. Manage everything to do with memberships, including types, subscriptions, renewals and income.
  2. Take the lead on promoting new membership.
  3. Keep the membership database up-to-date.
  4. Ensure membership fees are paid and records kept.
  5. Create and deliver a plan for recruiting new members, with the support of a team of recruitment officers for a larger club
  6. Liaise with NLD


Welfare Officer / Safeguarding Officer

  1. Develop the Club "Safeguarding Vulnerable People Policy' and procedures in conjunction with the RFU policy.
  2. Make sure everyone understands the RFU Codes of Conduct and values of the Game: Teamwork, Sportsmanship, Enjoyment, Discipline and Respect.
  3. Be visible and approachable to all club members and post your contact details on club notice boards, the club website and RFU Rugbyfirst.
  4. Develop a system to ensure all individuals working with young people undertake a CRB application every three years and hold an ISA-registration (Once the Independent Safeguarding Authority Vetting and Barring scheme has been implemented)
  5. Co-ordinate a programme of training for club personnel working with young people (i.e. Safeguarding & Protecting Young People in Rugby Union courses).
  6. Ensure that all safeguarding issues and incidents are reported promptly.
  7. Keep up-to-date contact details for the local statutory agencies (police / social services etc.) and liaise with them when necessary.


Junior Coach U11s,

  1. Plan and run safe, effective training sessions
  2. Retain players and work with relevant volunteers to recruit players
  3. Build team spirit and encourage participation
  4. Develop individuals' skill, confidence and fitness
  5. Select the team and set the tactics
  6. Work with the Club Coaching Coordinator to continue learning and developing
  7. Promote fair play, team standards and codes of conduct


Team Manager U15, U11,

  1. Responsible for two-way communication between age group parents and the club
  2. Ensuring all players are registered every season with club and NLD
  3. Supply match reports for press secretary
  4. Weekly attendance registration
  5. Member of Junior Committee


Assistant Junior Coach U11s

  1. Assist the head coach with preparation of coaching & fitness sessions to develop the players
  2. Assist the head coach with the delivery of the coaching sessions
  3. Coach/referee teams at festivals
  4. Maintain standards of conduct & safety
  5. Must be RFU qualified & RFU CRB checked


Junior Players' Representatives

  1. Volunteer player from each age group to represent players and liaise with the Junior Committee
  2. Be a role model for more junior members
  3. Set a good example
  4. Support fellow Junior members
  5. Help ensure other players behave themselves on and off the field


First Aider U15, U11, U10, U9, U8, U7s

  1. Access the situation & identify the condition/injury of the casualty.
  2. Don't move the casualty with major injury.
  3. Give immediate, appropriate and adequate treatment and reassurance.
  4. Dependent upon the severity of the injury to the casualty, arrange emergency services, contact parent/guardian and transport to hospital for further medical attention.
  5. First Aider must provide emergency services/hospital with as much information as possible including medical history, allergies and contact names and telephone numbers.
  6. Contact coach or team manager for medical records/parental consent forms and contact numbers, which must remain confidential.
  7. Complete Accident/Incident form.
  8. Accident forms to be returned to team manager/coach
  9. To ensure the first aid kit is stocked and available.
  10. To be responsible for the safety of the players in their care.
  11. To follow all guidelines laid down by the RFU and abide by the continuum.
  12. To ensure all accident/incident reports are recorded and filed in team folder and the Child Welfare Officer is notified appropriately.


First Aider 1st XV, 2nd XV
