Tuesday 15th October saw us on the road away at Spalding United U23’s against a side with a 100% record so far in the Lincolnshire FA u23’s Development league .

The Owls had 9 out of the squad of 13 coming from the U18’s section of the Club and only 2 of squad classed as the overaged players out of a permitted 3 in what is a testament to the Club in giving theses lads the opportunities, the respective managers from those teams and U23’s manager Luke Mascall In trusting these lads abilities going forward in the senior section .

In a end to end game with the Owls creating good chances we were unlucky not to take all 3 points , with some quick attacking moves and a solid defensive unit backed up by a tireless midfield the lads came home with a clean sheet and a share of the points in a 0-0 draw .

Manager Luke Mascall was proud of the effort by the lads , the way we moved the ball and defended as a team . A really good team performance by all .

Good to see so many Owls fans make the long trip on a Tuesday night to support the lads and hopefully see you all for our next scheduled game when we are on the road again travelling to face Newark Flowserve U23’s on Thursday 14th November with a 7:45pm kick off .
