Following the recent release of our retained list, It has been confirmed that Alex Flett is leaving the club.

We wish to put in writing our appreciation of the fantastic service given in the blue & black shirt over many years.

An incredible club record 532 appearances in competitive matches will certainly take some topping! Add on well over 100 goals plus his inspirational captaincy, & you have some player.

As the saying goes - "show us your medals?" And Fletty can!

Highlights include being part of the side that won the Lincolnshire League, Northern Counties East League (Division 1 & Premier), Northern Premier League (East Division), Lincolnshire Senior Cup (twice), Lincolnshire Senior Trophy and Northern Counties East League Cup

Perhaps the most memorable day though, was back in May 2017 when Alex led the troops out at Wembley for the FA Vase Final.

It may have ended in defeat but was a dream come true for the Owls! Reaching the showpiece, and playing on the hallowed turf, is a fantastic achievement.

So, thank you for everything, Fletty - and, from everyone at Cleethorpes Town, the very best of luck for the future.
