On Saturday, we welcome Belper Town to the Bradley Development Centre, as we look to continue our 100% win record in the league this season.

Following the home victories against Stamford on Wednesday night and Market Drayton last Saturday, the Owls will be playing their 3rd home game in a row this Saturday and will be looking to make it another home victory against Belper to stay top of the league.

Something that will be very pleasing for manager Marcus Newell, will be the spread of goals throughout the team, which is great for the manager, as they’re not reliant on just one player to score goals, with 13 different players scoring goals this season.

As well as being strong going forward, the Owls have managed to keep 2 clean sheets in the last 2 games and have only conceded 4 goals in the league this season which is the best defensive record in the league, goalkeeper Liam Higton also deserves a lot of credit, as in the previous 2 games especially, Higton made some superb saves to keep the opponents out.

Belper Town head into this game on the back of a good 2-1 win at home to Newcastle Town, perhaps an unexpected result, due to Newcastle Town being 4th in the league and they have had a strong start to the season. Belper are currently 13th in the Table after that result against Newcastle Town, however before Tuesday’s match Belper had been on a bad run of form, with 3 defeats in a row, including a 5-1 defeat against Frickley Athletic in their most recent away game.

Belper will be eager to get a result against Cleethorpes on Saturday, as the players will have a point to prove away from home, due to their recent heavy away defeat to Frickley Athletic. Therefore the Owls will need to be on their best form on Saturday to get the 3 points.

Cleethorpes will be hoping to get injured duo Danny North and Oli Donald back as soon as possible, both players have been nursing injuries recently with Danny North missing since the Atherton game 2 weeks ago where he went off injured, whereas defender Oli Donald has missed the last 2 games with a toe injury. Manager Marcus Newell will certainly be hoping that the players come out of the Belper game with no fresh injury concerns, due to the squad already being small.

The game on Saturday is a 3 pm kick off at the Bradley Development Centre with the tickets costing £7 for adults and £3 for Concessions/Children.
