Emily Hanrahan is the incoming boss!

The Club is delighted to announce that Emily Hanrahan is the new Manager of the Ladies' 1st team with immediate effect.

After the recruitment process, the Board agreed that it was the right time for Emily to be promoted into the hot-seat, after a successful spell as Assistant. Everyone will wish the new boss the very best of luck in her role.

Emily took some time out to offer her thoughts to the official website:

"Firstly, I’d like to start with saying a huge thank you to everybody for all the kind words upon my appointment. I’d also like to thank David Mann and Gary Carlton for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I cannot wait to get started and work with the amazing group of ladies that we have at the Club.

I started at the Club as a player for the ladies team nearly 3 seasons ago, after a 4 year gap from football due to a serious knee injury sustained whilst I was playing over at Doncaster Belles. Unfortunately, my playing time had to be cut short due to another injury and operation, but Gaz (Carlton) gave me opportunity to help out and be part of the coaching team for the Ladies Squad, as well as my managing role for the Girls u10 & u11 teams.

My position with the ladies squad continued when Paul (Probets) became manager at the beginning of this season and it was later announced that I would be his assistant, which really helped me to make the decision to accept this position.

There are going to be some very exciting times ahead, with plenty of positive changes coming in.

We have a number of our U16s players who are now signed and ready to play for us our first game back at home vs Sleaford Town Ladies on the 3rd January, with hopefully a few more joining us as the year progresses. Our squad is full of experienced, talented players and I can’t wait to put my stamp on it and bring back the family feel of our squad!

The girls are amazing and so supportive and I know I will have the full backing of them during my time in charge. I feel so positive about the New Year, getting back and getting restarted in what is a tough league, but I know we can get some decent results!

Thank you all again!!

UTO!”
