After the departure of the previous manager at Grimsby Town, Ben was approached to help out with the first team coaching with our friends at Blundell Park. The player totally followed the correct procedure in asking both the Board & management at Clee if he could pursue this avenue. Permission was granted by the Club on a short-term basis.

Subsequent events, particularly the appointment of Ian Holloway, have seen Ben asked to stay on with our League Two neighbours. The Club has absolutely no intention of standing in Ben's way, as he looks to carve out a coaching career in the professional game.

Everyone would like to wish Ben the very best for the future. His approach on & off the pitch during his time at the Owls has been excellent and Grimsby clearly have a major asset. We look forward to the continued good relationship & co-operation between the two clubs.

Finally, it was fantastic to see Ben's son acting as a mascot for us in our win against Sheffield FC. There will always be a warm welcome for the Davies family at Linden - good luck Ben!
