Clee Town BJB u16s opened their Lincolnshire Co-op Midlincs league season with a home game against last year's champions Lowlands from Lincoln. After a fairly even first 20 minutes Clee began to assert their authority. Connor Winn put them 1 0 up with a header from a Harrison Coley corner. 5 minutes later Lewis Smith made it 2 0 from a Winn assist before Will Glover scored from a tight angle to make it 3 0. Just before half time Smith ran the length of the pitch before squaring the ball to Jackson Horwood who tapped home for 4 0.
Clee made 3 subs at half time and came out just as strong with Winn soon making it 5 0 before Lowlands pulled one back after Clee lost the ball in a good position. The 5-goal cushion was soon restored as Ryan Grant beat his man and finished well to make it 6 1 before Horwood got his second and Clee's seventh when he rounded the keeper and slotted home.
A great all-round performance from the whole squad saw the team get their season off to a brilliant start.
Next week they travel to Lincoln to play Birchwood who were League runner's- up last year so another tough task is expected.
