Under 10's given a masterclass in rugby

13 hardy Clevedon lads travelled to an exposed airfield in Whitchurch. Warm up went well , but that's as far as it got. The St Bernedettes team arrived with only the bear minimum of 8 boys. Clevedon rubbed their hands, knowing they had fresh legs and numbers. Once the first whistle was blown it set the standard well and truly. Clevedon suffered 3 injuries in very quick succession .The hosts were big, strong, hard hitting and gave Clevedon nothing. Their defence was well drilled, their attack was fierce, turning the ball over at every opportunity. Clevedon slumped to the heaviest defeat ever.
However Clevedon kept on fighting for the ball and try line. There spirit was second to none. What has come out of it is the following: We must hold on to the ball at all costs, support the ball carrier, be into rucks much quicker, keep a defensive line, tackle, pass the ball and run into space. But one thing we do have bucket loads of is determination and passion and that can't be knocked.
Wil got player of the week, his game play improved massively and was accredit to his team.
