Clevedon Town have announced that they have appointed Nic Steadman & Jamie Smith to the club, with Rich Lucas as Assistant.

The trio, who recently stepped down at neighbours Nailsea & Tickenham FC oversaw a very successful five-year period in charge and were keen to take on a new challenge after leading the Swags to back-to-back promotions, establishing the side in the Western Premier division, and enjoying impressive FA Cup runs in their time at the club.

Nic Steadman “First of all I want to say I’m really excited to be given the opportunity to manage such a big club like Clevedon Town!”

“With all the positivity that’s going on behind the scenes it is really important to bring success to this great club and that is certainly my intention. I look forward to meeting everyone and getting to work!”

“The club have set out some really exciting plans in the next few years and we are delighted to have been given the opportunity to come in and build on the brilliant foundation the club, players, and previous management team have built. The club has huge potential, and we will all be working very hard to deliver what we know can be achieved.”

Clevedon Town Chairman Paul Davis said, “We are pleased that we have been able to make a quick decision on the new management team, and we welcome new Joint Managers Nic Steadman & Jamie Smith to the club, with Rich Lucas as Assistant.”

“The important thing for us is that they are all local, have a great track record and are a perfect fit for the approach of the club which is to encourage the greater involvement of the local community in Clevedon Town Football Club.”

“It’s a new start and we look to everybody working together to continue the progress made in the last few years.”

“Nic & Jamie will announce further pre-season plans and additions to the coaching and playing team in the coming days as they prepare for the 2025/2026 Season.”
