The Seasiders face Wellington for the third time this season on Wednesday, this time in the Les Phillips Cup Third Round, 7-30 at the Everyone Active Stadium.

After the weather put paid to both the Seasiders’ cup matches last week they now face exactly the same scenario this week, with their two most important games of the season only four days apart and after Wednesday’s game the club hope it will be third time lucky for the Harefield FA Vase game on Saturday.

Seasiders Manager Alex White said, “What we have is a re-run of next week, but with another week missed it’s turned into a bit of a winter break and I’m sure we’re going to be pretty rusty on Wednesday. The Vase and the Les Phillips Cup are both competitions we want to go far in, so it will be two very strong sides we put out in both games.”

“Although we are now well prepped for both it’s a big week coming up and we’ve just got to dust off the cobwebs and get playing again. On Wednesday we’ve got to make sure we start fast and try to get into our rhythm as quickly as possible, but you can be sure Wellington will be up for it after our two wins in the league this season!”
