Experience added to Town's young squad

CLEVEDON Town Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Paul McLoughlin as first team coach, and the signing of influential midfielder Alex Russell.

Both men bring with them vast experience of the game and manager Micky Bell says that these signings show Clevedon Town’s ambition to move forward by bringing in high quality coaches and players.

In a long playing career Paul represented, among others, Cardiff City and Wolverhampton Wanderers at Championship level and Hereford United, and was a member of the Clevedon Town team that won the double of the Southern League Midland Division Championship and the Somerset Premier Cup in 1999.

Liverpool-born Alex started out in the Liverpool youth team and, in a long and distinguished career, went on to win promotions at four different league sides - Cambridge United, Torquay United, Bristol City and Exeter City. He joins Clevedon from Conference South side Bath City.

Welcome to Clevdon Town Paul and Alex.
