The Seasiders travel to Wellington on Saturday in a completely different place playing wise to where they were when the teams met in October when Town were in the middle of a run of 9 wins including racking up 5 goals in 4 games in a row starting with the 5-0 win against Wellington. Now the goals have dried up in three successive defeats and Town have slipped to second in the table.
Wellington in contrast have struggled all season with only 2 wins and are at the other end of the table, second from bottom, and have not played since the beginning of the month due to two postponements.
Whatever, Wellington always make it difficult at North Street, but Town will be looking to extend their outstanding record against their Somerset hosts and are unbeaten in the last 11 encounters, including 9 wins including two wins at Wellington in league and cup last season. Overall, since the first meeting in 1962, the Seasiders have only been beaten 4 times in 29 games.
As the Manager recognised after last week’s defeat Clevedon have to remain positive and they know they can take nothing for granted.
