After suffering defeats in two away games the Seasiders need to get their play-off challenge back on track when Ilfracombe Town visit the Everyone Active Hand Stadium on Saturday (3-00pm). This will be the visitors third game this week, with contrasting fortunes in the previous two, both at home, where they won 4-1 against bottom of the table Millbrook but lost 2-5 against Barnstaple Town who Clevedon also lost 1-2 against in midweek.
Ilfracombe’s win on Tuesday is their only victory in their last six league games, a run which began with the Seasiders comprehensive 3-0 win at Marlborough Park in February, with goals from man of the match Brad Probert, Owen Punselie and Joe Teall.
Clevedon have met Ilfracombe Town just 19 times previously and have a poor record against them, but it’s getting better! The Seasiders are unbeaten in the last five league games but lost 2-5 last season in the Les Phillips Cup.
Manager Alex White said “After the last two games it would be good to get as many people to along tomorrow as possible. There’s been a really close connection between the players and the supporters this season on and off the pitch which will be vital in the last three games of the season.”
Voting for the Supporters Player of the year 2023/2024 will also take place during the game and the winner will be announced at our final home match of the season next Saturday, 20th April.
