Another fantastic performance from our Women’s Walking Football squad today in what was their first Walking Football Festival appearance.
7 Games played: 4 wins, 3 Draws (no goals conceded)
Today’s team formed by Charlie, Gill, Grace, Kirsty, Maria and Sammy showed great determination and an amazing team spirit throughout the 7 rounds of games.
Despite not having a designated keeper today, the 6 players were more than happy to share the GK duties over the 7 games. This along with an unbreakable defence secured the team 7 clean sheets!
Our attacking players worked relentlessly to break the opposition defence, delivered some great passes, assists and finishes which ultimately rewarded our team with 4 well deserved wins.

Game 2 vs Somer Valley 1-0 win (lovely goal from Sammy with a great assist from Gill)
Game 3 vs Cheddar 0-0 draw
Game 4 vs Exeter 1-0 win (Grace’s impeccable goal)
Game 5 vs Winscombe 4-0 win (2 Goals Kirsty and 2 goals Grace; assists from Grace and Sammy)
Game 6 vs Taunton and District 0-0
Game 7 vs Bristol Badgers 1-0 win (Sammy’s goal with a well-timed assist from Grace)

Our newly formed team remains unbeaten this season ? and we couldn’t be more excited about the squad’s upcoming fixtures.
