"A Blast from the Past" - 1973/74 Season

With their first win on the board the games are coming up thick and fast. 2 days later on the August Bank Holiday they travel to Skegness Town

Once again the opposition find the All Whites hard to break down and the team come away with a creditable 1-1 draw.

Clifton have settled in quite easily into their new Midland League status and club officials are inwardly delighted at their early progress.

2 points at home on Saturday and a point on the Long Eaton and Skegness grounds was something of a dream start.

Said manager Brian Harrison “This was even better than we expected and gives us a lot of confidence to face the long season ahead”.

The team travel to Arnold next week in another tough contest but are confident of doing well.The side remain undefeated and have given away just one goal in 3 games

Clifton reserves have an East Midlands Division 1 game at Green Lane, Clifton (3pm) against Staveley and will pick from
