A tough game in the heat by two brilliant sides. The game started at a fast pace with Halton applying a period of pressure to Clock’s line but they held them out. After the first water break, clock face started to make metres up the pitch and backed it up with good defence to keep Halton in their own half before a try Noah Ormrod opened the scoring 5 minutes before half time. This gave Clock a confidence boost and they marched down the pitch again with their next set to score as Oliver Burns scored from a close range scoot under the posts to make the score 12-0 at half time. The second half started in the same fashion as the first with both teams defending very well. Mid way through the second half Clock started to build pressure and eventually turned it into points as Oliver placed a pinpoint cross field kick into the corner which was pounced upon by Noah for his second of the game. The game was played at high pace for the whole 40 minutes and was exhausting for the players. The effort was brilliant by all the players and with seconds to go Halton scored a late try to finish the game 18-6 to Clock
