Good Afternoon.

The club has two important postions to fill ,please see below for an outline of the roles. This is a great opportunity to help your club.

Any questions should be addressed to Mike Beard who would be more than happy to talk throught he roles.

Treasurer Roles and Responsibilities

Monitor the finances of the club producing monthly budget monitoring reports and the annual statement of accounts.

Ongoing throughout the season

Good book keeping or accountancy knowledge and preferably a financial background but this is not mandatory

Good administrative and communication skills

Good Excel and Word skills

Reliable, Approachable, Confidentiality

Role:

Tasks

• Maintain accurate and up to date financial records for the club

• Establish and maintain club bank account and banking arrangements

• Reconcile bank to cashbook on a monthly basis

• Be a signatory on the bank account

• Report financial position to the committee

• Collect and deposit all fees, subscriptions and funds

• Raise invoices on behalf of the club and recover any unpaid

• Prepare and issue receipts for monies received

• Ensure that funds are spent appropriately

• Explore funding opportunities for the club

• Pay any bills incurred

• Prepare end of year financial report for AGM

Membership Secretary Roles and Responsibilities

To issue membership renewals, ensure payment of membership, issue membership cards. Maintain the register of members on the Pitchero system.

Whilst bank transfer is preferred option, any cash collected to be deposited at bank

Must have an understanding of GDPR regulations

Report on memberships and variances to previous years

Can be ongoing throughout the season

Good administrative and communication skills

Good Excel and Word skills

Role:

Approximate time commitment:

2 hours annually for issue of forms – via email, social media,1-2 hours monthly to reconcile and report (February – October)

Useful skills and experience:

Tasks

• Update membership form annually

• Distribute to existing members and any new members

• Maintain list of members

• Issue renewals

• Collate data

• Enter/Amend database as appropriate

• Ensure appropriate authorisations have been given ie photography of children

• Ensure payment of memberships in conjunction with Captains

• Communicate with Treasurer on expected income levels and reconcile to actual amounts received.

• Report to the Committee on membership take up and income levels

• Collect and deposit all fees, subscriptions and funds
