Clumber 3rd XI win at Nomads

The 3rds secured a comprehensive 20 points today on what can only be described as a minefield in desperate need of some water! On winning the toss we had to bat 1st where John & Jasper (15) got us off to a great start putting on 53 for the 1st wicket. I joined John and together we put on a 137 run partnership before John got a pea roller for a superb 80. Josh came in but unfortunately didn't capitalise on some tired bowling, Daz came in and we started running 3's like 2 athletes! Daz not out 29 myself not out 168 including 13 sixes! Five young guns then took over all aged 15 & below Evan (13) opened & took 3 fer
Oliver (15) bowled with pace and was unlucky not to take a wicket
Harry (14) took 4 fer
Lily (15) took 2 fer
Zack (13) took 1 fer
20 points and back up and running.... well done everyone

Clumber captain Chris Ward led the way as records fell at Nomads, 331-3 is the highest total for the 3rd XI, 168* from Chris Ward is the highest individual score and 137 partner for the second with set a new target.
