Ladies push unbeaten Beaumont all the way
Coalville town ladies were away to Beaumont Park Ladies who were sitting third in the league with Coalville fifth place looking to close the gap.
Beaumont came out the traps fast pressing Coalville back with the weather in their favour. They won a free kick just outside the area and scoring their first goal past Coalville just fifteen minutes in. The game was quite even until again another free kick to Beaumont was converted making it 2-0.
Coalville continued to try and break through to get one back before half time but were caught again and were 3-0 down at half time.
After the half time team talk Coalville came out determined to try and get back in the game Beaumont continued to attack Coalville's goal but Cartwright kept them out stopping shots from all angles.
Coalville continued to try and find a way through and eventually did with Smith getting a flick on for Folkard who chipped the keeper 3-1.
Coalville Continued believing they could get back in the game and with their third successive corner from Coote, Folkard grabbed her second of the game getting Coalville right back in it 3-2 with 7 minutes to go.
Coalville continued to press for the equaliser with a couple of missed chances near the end the game ended 3-2.
Dave the coach and manger was very proud of the ladies today.
