No action again for any of the Leicestershire Womens Senior League sides last weekend. This time it was storm Dennis that completely obliterated fixtures throughout the league and across the county and country as a whole.
Hopefully Sunday will see the girls back on the pitch as they travel to Braunstone. The home side haven't seen any action since 12th January, when they suffered a 0-8 away defeat to Hinckley. Coalville's scheduled home game with them on 26th January was postponed with the visitors citing a lack of players as the reason to call the game off.
Coalville's last game was the 2-4 home defeat to Asfordby 1st's in the 2nd round of the League Cup on 2nd February. It was a game that the Ravenettes were keen to win with Saffron Dynamo waiting in the semi-final for them. It wasn't to be though and Coalville are now left with the task of finishing as high as they possibly can in the league.
There was a good turnout at training again on Tuesday, and despite thunder, lightning and then a hail storm, the girls stuck it out to get in a good hour and a half session.
There are no new injury concerns within the Coalville squad. Jemma Cook is still out with an ankle injury, Kirsty Moore (broken ankle), Isla Pink (illness) are also not available. A couple of the girls (Amber Hylton and Jess Vale) are recovering from illness but should be available for Sunday.
