Cockermouth RUFC Facility Committee are delighted to have received funding from two local businesses recently. The funding received will be going towards the modernisation of the current tennis courts area including reinstating the floodlights.

Thank you to Sellafield Limited who accepted the clubs £5000 funding application and to Northern Gas Networks who donated £400.

Richie Manual from Northern Gas Networks said: “We’re very pleased to be supporting the rugby club’s refurbishment plans, through this donation.

"Our engineers are working the Cockermouth area at the moment, putting in new gas mains. We do try to get involved in local community life where we can, especially on long running

engineering schemes like this one.

“We know the club will put the donation to good use, and wish the players and fans well for the rest of the season.”
