Cockfosters F.C. Remembers...

Today, the Club laid a wreath at the 'forgotten' war memorial at the northern end of the sport fields.

The citation (taken from a book of War Poems written in1917and anonymous ) reads ;

Z is for zero ,the time we go over
Most of us wish we were way back in Dover
Making munitions and living in clover
And far,far away from the trenches..........
