Coleraine Rugby supports IRFU Charitable Trust
Members of Coleraine Rugby a Football, Cricket and Hockey Club travelled to Dublin last week to make a presentation to the IRFU Charitable Trust.
The Trust exists to inspire true rugby spirit, championing care and empowering seriously injured rugby players to live life to the full. It is a charity close to heart of all rugby players in Ulster.
The presentation came on the back of donations made by club members and guests at the Celebrity Dinner held at the club in November last year and at a recent pre-rugby match lunch. The key speaker at the dinner was former Irish International rugby player Mick Quinn and he was on hand to receive the cheque for £800 on behalf of the Trust at Skerries, Dublin.
Coleraine RFCHC President Milne Rowntree said: “Many thanks go to everyone who contributed to this great cause at the Celebrity Dinner and the lunch. Members and guests were very generous in their support of the charitable trust.
“Rugby clubs across Ulster and Ireland take pride in supporting those who are injured when playing rugby and we at Coleraine are pleased to join that support.”
