DARREN Twigg has urged his CONGLETON TOWN players to end an injury-plagued season on a high – despite having more players sidelined for the trip to Bacup Borough.

Phil Parkinson (hamstring), Danny Griggs (dead leg), Mark Beeston (groin) and Richard Smith (hamstring) are all likely to be missing for The Bears tomorrow.

Joint-boss Twigg said: "We had a team we thought could win the league, but it's been a hard year with injuries – and now we're playing four times a week, it's certainly not any easier.

"We were very poor on Tuesday against Rossendale, but it's not a case of it being dead rubbers at the end of the season. We want four victories from our last four league games before the Mid-Cheshire Senior Cup final against Northwich (May 3).

"It might not be the FA Cup, but we want to end the season with silverware and players will have to earn their right to be in that team over the next few weeks."

Squad: Conkie, Skellern, Ledwards, Robinson, Fitton, Parkinson, Ward, Bailey, Hurst, Reaney, Griggs, McCurrie, Rowley, Ward, Harper.
