Cheshire FA Statement

Webb Master29 Jun 2016 - 20:22

Simon Gerrard has resigned from his position as Chief Executive of Cheshire FA, which has been accepted by the board of directors.

Cheshire FA Chairman and President, David Edmunds said: “On behalf of everybody at Cheshire FA I would like to thank Simon for his fantastic contribution in his ten years’ service and four years as CEO.

“He leaves the County FA in a strong position following his tenure, and would like to wish him every success in his new career as he moves into the commercial sector.”

Simon Gerrard said: “It has been an honour to be involved in football in Cheshire and to lead such a great county association. Pursuing another career path is not a decision I have taken lightly, mainly due to the brilliant support I have always received from our clubs, leagues and volunteers.

“I have always tried to show integrity and professionalism in my time with the association and I hope I have positioned Cheshire FA to go onto bigger and better things.”

The recruitment process for Simon’s successor will begin very soon.
