Bears bowed out of the FA Cup to a well organised Emley team, on a very windy Sunday afternoon

Emley took the lead after just 5 minutes when they were awarded a penalty fir a clumsy challenge in the area. The spot kick was fired straight down ghe middle of goal.
Bears equalised when Needham crossed perfectly into the six yard box, the keeper never came and Beaumont headed home.
Minutes later the Bears took the lead when Beaumont was there again to capitalise on some very sloppy play in the Emley area, leaving him with an open goal.
Roberts was within a whisker of making it 3-1 when he hit a 20 yard freezing which took a deflection and came back off the post with the keeper beaten.
HT Emley 1-2 Congleton
Emley came out all guns blazing in the second half and almost equalised with their first attack.
Emley were level after a mis-communication in the Bewrs area saw Jepson back head the ball to Phelps but he was off his line and the ball looped up and into the net.
Three minutes later and Emley were in front. A cross found Doyle in the clear and he hammered home.
The Bears struggled to create anything after this and Emley finished the stronger, and to be fair were worth the win.
