Bears looking to finish strongly, traveled to Squires Gate on Saturday.

Bears travelled to the coast and were soon in front. A mix up in the Gate defence lead to a free kick to the Bears just outside the box. The ball was whipped in and Scott McGowan ros at the far post to head the ball home.

The Bears then dominated the rest of the first half and had chances to add to the total, but all were spurned. They lost George Whiteoak to an injury early in the half and he was replaced by Andy Alston.

HT: Squires Gate 0-0 Congleton Town.

The second half was a much more even affair with both sides cancelling each other out. The Bears lost another captain,Andy Langford to injury after 75 minutes.

The points looked to be safe until, deep into added time Gate through everyone forward. The ball was played forward out wide to Rowley whose shot bobbled over the line with what proved to be the last kick of the game.

Bears: Dale Eve, Chris Middleton, Nathan Haynes, Andy Langford (75 Luke Sephton), George Whiteoak (15 Andy Alston) Scott Sephton, Rick Bailey (70 Callum Whelan), Aaron Kirk, Chris Smith, Scott McGowan, Ruiz Eder

The Bears complete their season with a trip to Marine next Saturday, the current home of AFC Liverpool. The Bears are currently 1 point better off than their opponents, so if they avoid defeat they are likely to finish 8th.
