Following the fantastic news of Leven Gundogan signing for Manchester United this week, we are pleased to announce that fellow under 14 player Jack Hitchen yesterday signed for Bury FC.

Jack started a six week trial with the club this week and showed enough quality over two sessions alone to be offered a two year deal by the league one academy.

Hitchen who joined Nomads Academy just over three years ago has been an outstanding academy player. A first class attitude and commitment to the football club, Jack epitomised what is expected in standards from a Nomads Academy player continuously.

A right sided winger with bags of pace, Jack has put in numerous man of the match performances over the last few seasons with plenty of goals to match.

A fantastic achievement for the player and we wish him all the best during his team with the League One Club.

Huge well done again to coaches who have worked specifically with Jack in Danny Mapp-Jones, Anthony Weaver and Iain Bennett who have all aided the players development.

Jack becomes the 30th Nomads Academy player to be signed by a professional club. a statistic higher than any other Welsh Premier Academy to date.

With lots more currently trialling with pro clubs, we hope this number will continue to rise in the future.
