Under 14s and 16s triumph over Chester City and Wrexham centre of excellence sides.

Two top quality games this week which saw our 14s win three two and 16s win four two.

Our 16s travelled away to Colliers Park on Tuesday evening and the newly formed side showed some great football on the 3g pitch.

Darren Wynne’s side ran out four two winners with goals coming from Lee Ludgate with a hat trick and a well taken penalty from Joe Jones.

Ludgate earned himself man of the match with some clinical finishing.

The Wrexham side was managed by ex Nomads first team manager Steve O Shaugnasey. We wish him and his Wrexham side all the best this up and coming season.

Lat night our 14s took on a strong Chester City side in another testing pre season game.

Andy Matthierson had given the side an early lead before Owen Marshall made it two with a well taken volley from a corner.

But Chester responded with two well taken goals before Kai Oldfield grabbed the winer with a fantastic strike from the edge of the area. A goal worthy of winning any game.

Man of the match went to Andrew Ely who defended superbly and showed great character through out.
