Summer bank holiday in the Demi

As the summer draws to an end before it even starts, but that’s nothing new in Consett!
At the Demi we have some great things happening to distract you from the weather.

On Thursday 25th August

We start the weekend with the Newcastle versus Scunthorpe Carling cup tie, showing on the large screens.

On Saturday 27th August

The day starts with the 12.00 noon premiership football game shown on the TV.

Then we move onto rugby with Ireland playing England in the final game before they all get on the plane to New Zealand for the world cup. This could be an explosive encounter between teams full of hopeful players looking to stamp their claim on a spot in the first choice team, or at the very least it will be a gauge of the form of squad strength. Whichever it is turns out to be it will be worth a watch at 2.45pm.

Following this we will be showing the 5.00pm premiership game,

All of this sport will be shown on our multi screens in High Definition.

For your entertainment from 8.00pm The Mitch Laddie Band will be playing a mix of covers and original music in the bar.
The band is lead by Mitch, (hence the name) he fits the story of a local lad done good. After learning the guitar he has travelled the world as a professional musician, and set up a band for when he is home. The band have just finished work on their second album and have a few new numbers that will get an airing to a live crowd here first!

Sunday 28th August

Football with Newcastle playing Fulham, 1.00pm. Shown in the bar on all screens.

Then from 7.00pm there will be karaoke in the bar.
