A lovely day for Rugby and the first time in memory Consett faced Carlisle at 1st XV level. The team were keen to match the Ladies team who played their very first game the previous evening and were victorious against Whitley Bay Rockcliffe Roses.

For the first time this season Consett played some really smart Rugby showing speed, power and team skills across the board. Consett scored tries at fairly regular intervals but a young Carlisle team never gave up and scored three second half tries themselves.
