On Sunday 'The Buskers' brought an end to our first Consett Rugby Club Beer Festival and kept everyone thoroughly entertained. Again, the event proved to be very popular with our new supply of strawberry lager only lasting an hour! The publicity machine seemed to go into overdrive as we managed to appear in the evening chronicle, sunday sun, on bbc radio and itv regional news( a picture of Terry Deary kindly opening the festival below).

Thanks to everyone that has attended, the organisers and all the volunteers who have given up lots of their time, everyone that has help us advertise it and to all our sponsors. The attendance has been way beyond what we expected and the feedback has been very positive!

Therefore we are returning next year when we aim to make it even better!
