The club has sent its coaches and players into local schools Ysgol Llangelynnin, Ysgol Pencae and Ysgol Porth Y Felin to deliver football sessions which culminated in a final tournament at the clubs Y Morfa ground on Thursday. There were over 40 children in total who took part in the day and they were a credit to their schools. The children played over 6 games each and encouraged their team mates in all of the games.

The final match was played between Porth Y Felin side A vs Porth Y Felin side B which ended in penalties. The winning team won a trophy for their schools and each had medals.

Every child also received a match ticket to Conwy Borough’s friendly against Fleetwood Town on 14th July as well as an additional gift.

“The Club-School link initiative intends to encourage Conwy’s sports clubs to work closely with their local schools, engaging young people in extra curricular physical activities and making them aware of the sporting opportunities available to them.” Said Geraint Madoc-Jones (Conwy Sporting Hub Co-ordinator)

“In return for the delivery of football coaching sessions at Ysgol Porth y Felin, Ysgol Llangylennin and Ysgol Pencae, Conwy Borough FC have received a grant from Conwy County Borough Council’s “Active Young People programme”; towards the .”
