Dures joined from Buckley Town last season as one of Jason Aldcroft's first signings and went on to be a solid performer in both defence and midfield. He has been the subject of interest from a number of clubs but has signed on again for the Tangerines.
The news comes ahead of the Tangerines friendly match against Runcorn Linnets which will be another tough pre-season test at Y Morfa on Saturday. The North West Counties Premier Division Side have come agonisingly close to winning their league the past two seasons and have had a change of manager pre-season. However, as with 1874 Northwich, their pre-season form has continued to be impressive ahead of their first visit to Y Morfa Stadium.
In midweek Jason Aldcrofts side faced Heswall in a away fixture than ended 0-0 at the West Cheshire League outfit.
"Wednesday Night was for lads who needed minutes and an opportunity for some trialists to impress. We started the game brightly and dominated the first half with possession we had a lot of chances, but didn't take them.
"I made a number of changes in the second half and Heswall started the brightest after we gave away possession very cheaply. We then got back into it and pushed on to score and had more chances but on two occasions left ourselves open where "Spudda" has to make two good saves.
"All-in-all we played reasonably well, we are getting closer to where we want to be. Some of the trialists played well and Heswall give us a good game on a decent pitch. I would like to thank them and wish them all the best for the season."
