An excellent Borough performance saw them take a 4-0 lead with goals from Meilir Williams (32), Nathan Williams (41), Iolo Hughes (47) and Corrig McGonigle (53).

A late rally from the visitors saw them scoring two consolation goals with Borough deservedly winning by four goals to two.

Along the way Borough keeper Rory Crowther made some excellent saves which resulted in him picking up the player of the match award.

The players performed superbly and got exactly what they deserved, and showed a really strong togetherness, it gives us a really solid platform to keep building from.”

The fixture also saw young reserve team players, Jack Boyle and Joseff Sharpe, coming on late in the game to make first team debuts.
