Borough are delighted to announce that 18 year old Daniel Hughes will be part of the first team squad for the 2019/2020 season.
The talented youngster played his junior football at Llandudno Junction before representing Borough Under 18s in the NWCFA Youth League and the Under 19s in the Welsh Premier Development League.
He is no stranger to first team football having featured as a 16 year old in the Cymru Alliance during the 2016/2017 season under Brian Pritchard along with a number of other players from the U18 team.
Ahead of the announcement we spoke to club Chairman Chris Wilton: “I am really happy that Danny will be given an opportunity in the upcoming season. He is a very talented player who deserves his chance. For me it is absolutely key that a club like Conwy creates a pathway for young players to progress into the first team squad so as to make for a strong and sustainable future. Hopefully, this will send out a message to other members of our reserve team and local youngsters generally that there are opportunities to develop and progress at Y Morfa.”
