Bored of your old Club? Need a new challenge? Corstorphine Cougars have provided a new home for many experienced and new (male and female) players in the last few years. Why? Because we hold traditional rugby values at our core with a focus on progressive fast paced rugby and player development.

On a playing front we have 2 mens teams and womens team with skill levels from beginner to experienced. Our coaches take time to work on individual player skills and provide constructive feedback when needed. We have 2 Level 3 coaches, one on his way to gaining Level 3 along with several level 2 and level 1 coaches. So our coaching staff are well qualified and experienced. We want our players to play at the best level they can. for example our womens team have recently launched the CAPP programme that focuses on player improvement (see related article for more details).

The club went through a bit of a turbulent time a few years ago but has now refocused, recharged and is pushing forward in terms of improving facilities. We've invested over £30k in the last 2 years and are looking at long term developments that will enhance our facilities.

Socially, we're a family club. We believe in wokring hard on the pitch and playing with a smile on your face... cause most of us are in this for the enjoyment of the sport! Having a beer and socialising with teammates, opposition, family and friends afterwards is equally important. Our hospitality is well known and have had plaudits from many across the region. With a certain former Scotland captain recently citing us as an example of what a rugby club should be. We dont force anyone to get involved but the camarderie is very infectious. We try to do our bit for the community too - raising over £8k for chairty this year already!

We're well located for anyone not living in the local area with the tram stop at Saughton only minutes away and plenty of bus routes close by. But often you'll find someone else at the club is going your way...

Our membership fees are competative for the Edinburgh area.

Preseason has started and is on Tues and Thurs nights for both men and women.
