Cojags 1 v Christchurch

A slightly different match report this week but thought it was time we mixed things up! The ABCs of the Cojags v Christchurch game...

A. A is for Anya who dominated at GK, making multiple tips and interceptions look easy.
B. B is for the Box Formation which the defensive unit were able to pull off effectively once again.
C. C is for COJGAS!!
D. D is for Defence, who provided constant support on the third line, ready for the reset option.
E. E is for Ellie who came on in the second half and effectively controlled the edge of the D.
F. F is for Fleur’s Feeds into the D, which were on point.
G. G is for Goals which the shooters were popping in from all over the circle.
H. H is for Holding, which Emma did extremely well in the D.
I. I is for India, who had an excellent last game. We will miss you as you go off on your travels.
J. J is for Jen who was the very well deserved POM.
K. K is for Kerri’s awesome interceptions & tight defence in the circle ? ?
L. L is for Liz who stepped up brilliantly as coach. Thank you for your words of encouragement and excellent advice.
M. M is for Manager, our lovey Barbs, who was still there supporting us despite being jet lagged.
N. N is for Nine, 9/9 Wins!
O. O is for the Opposition, who put up an excellent fight, especially in the second quarter where they were able to claw back at us.
P. P is for Pace as the match was played at a very high pace. Surprising after all those pigs in blankets...
Q. Q is for Quarter time breaks which were needed after the Christmas Break.
R. R is for Rhian who did an excellent job scoring.
S. S is for Supporters. Thank you for watching and cheering us on every match.
T. T is for the Third quarter as we were able to pull away from the opposition to get a 15 goal lead. 43-28.
U. U is for the Umpires who we are forever grateful for.
V. V is for Victory!
W. W is for the Wall and Whole court zone, both of which were effective and broke down play.
X. X is for X-rated skills, shown by Charlie with her sticky hands.
Y. Y is for Yes Maiya! A common phrase today after Maiya made excellent intercepts at WD.
Z. Z is for Zzzz...are you still with me after reading this terrible match report?
