Experienced defender George Whitelaw has committed his future to Coventry Sphinx and will now link up with Lee Knibbs’ squad. The experienced defender usually plays at right back but he is capable of playing centrally too.
The tough tackling defender will add steel to Lee Knibbs defensive options but he knows where the goal is too with 10 goals in his 150+ appearances at Coventry Copsewood. George had a brief spell at Sphinx during the 2017/18 season and he now returns to prepare for start of the 2019/20 season.
