A crucial home victory on Thursday means the Coventry Sphinx Youth team travel to Lichfield City on Monday night with their title hopes very much alive. A 4-2 win against Bedworth Utd at Sphinx Drive maintained the pressure on the league leaders Barrow Town and ensured Monday night’s fixture carries real importance.
Coventry Sphinx have already beaten Lichfield early in the season but Lichfield have shown significant improvement since then and they will be tough opponents on their 3G pitch. The support for the Youth team has been superb this season and regular attendees have been rewarded with some great entertainment. We hope to see some of you make the trip to Lichfield and support the Sphinx youngsters.
