The Coventry Sphinx Youth team have had an exceptional season in the Midland Floodlit Youth League under the leadership of Dave Bull and they now approach their final phase of games.
They have three games to go and sit in 2nd place in the Eastern Division. Firstly, they travel to Rugby on Monday night for a match on the 3G at Kilsby Lane against Rugby Borough. They follow that with a Thursday night trip to Nottingham FC on 4th April and then complete their league season with a home fixture against Leicester Road on Thursday 11th April.
Over the course of the season, first team manager Lee Knibbs has recruited six of the Youth team for his first team squad. Top scorer Dan Kelly has made a handful of substitute appearances for the first team and continues to establish himself in the first team squad. Fellow striker T’ahje Smith has also represented the first team alongside midfielders Alex Pearson and Callum Maspers. Awaiting their debuts are defenders Danny Bull and Callum Mack who have also taken places on the bench recently.
