last minute try costs cowling.

Boothtown A 24 Cowling Harlequins 20

As this was the first time the quins had been to the home of the terriers this made the journey over longer then expected and this showed in the opening ten minutes as a much changed terriers side started the quicker running in two quick fire tries due to numerous penalty count against the quins but with having returning quins Sam Booker,Adam Haigh,Brannan Lawn and Wayne Verity it was not long until they did hit back when Verity hit Barn Storming Sam Booker on a drop off ball to power past four Boothtown defenders and Brannan Lawn converted the two.
Cowling yet again powered up field with great work from Man of the match Craig Nicholson and forwards Chris Ashworth and Liam Mitchell to get Booker in strike range again when hooker Antony Packer hit Booker on a crash ball to power over the whitewash the goal missed by Lawn half time score 10-10.
Second half the quins started the better when fast hand got the ball to Jordan Powell to go in for his first cowling try Lawn added the extras from the touchline but Boothtown was not done yet and kept coming at Cowlings line and went over in the corner to level the score again but full back Ashley Wood got the ball and darted to the line and hopefully but the terriers to bed, Lawn missed the two and with eight minutes left Cowling conceded six penaltys on the bounce and the terriers took full advantage again by leveling the score twenty all with four minutes to go and just as you thought this would be another draw Boothtown scored in the corner but Cowling have loads of positives to take from the game and now face the league leaders Victoria rangers up at Burgess hoping to make up for earlier in the season in the away fixture.
