Gyda chalon drom, dw i’n rhoi gwybod i chi fel clwb mai gêm Sadwrn yn erbyn Gwalchmai fydd fy ngêm olaf fel Rheolwr. Ar ôl 15 mlynedd gwych, a dros 500 o gemau wrth y llyw, dw i wedi penderfynu rhoi’r gorau iddi fel rheolwr. Mi fydd Dilwyn Jones, John Earnshaw ac Ioan Llewelyn yn gadael y clwb hefyd.
Dw i wedi mwynhau fy amser yn gwirfoddoli yn y clwb hwn, yn gyntaf fel chwaraewr ac yna, yn sydyn, fel rheolwr dros dro. Mae’r cyfnod hwnnw wedi parhau hyd heddiw, gan roi’r cyfle i mi ennill fy nhrwydded B gyda chefnogaeth y clwb. Yn ystod y pymtheg mlynedd diwethaf dw i’n meddwl fy mod i wedi gwneud pob swydd ar y pwyllgor ac wedi gwneud pob tasg a phob dim allwn i i helpu’r clwb, o lanhau’r cit i dorri’r gwair a bod y cyntaf i gyrraedd a’r olaf i adael bob dydd Sadwrn. Does gen i ddim byd ond atgofion melys wrth gofio sut wnaethon ni weithio ein ffordd i fyny'r system byramid gyda rhai brwydrau ffyrnig yn y cwpannau ar hyd y ffordd. Mi oedd hyn yn golygu bod yn gystadleuol ar y cae ond hefyd gweithio'n galed oddi arno i sicrhau ein bod yn cyflawni gofynion sylfaenol i gael dyrchafiad, a oedd yn cynnwys llawer o geisiadau am grantiau . Y pinacl oedd cyrraedd meini prawf haen 3 ychydig flynyddoedd yn ôl fel clwb.
Mae cymaint o waith i’w wneud i gadw clwb fel ein clwb ni ar y lefel hon a does gen i ddim byd ond diolch i bawb sydd wedi fy nghefnogi dros y blynyddoedd. Mae gynnon ni ysbryd cymunedol anhygoel ac unigolion gwych fyddai'n gollwng pob dim i'n helpu ni. Diolch i’r holl chwaraewyr a chwaraeodd i mi. Dw i’n gwybod fy mod i’n gofyn lot gan y chwaraewyr ac mae’n ymrwymiad mawr bob wythnos a does gen i ddim byd ond parch tuag atoch chi i gyd. Mae llawer ohonoch chi yn ffrindiau gorau i mi, a gobeithio, pan oeddech chi’n mynd drwy adegau anodd, eich bod chi’n gwybod fy mod i yno i chi. I’r chwaraewyr presennol, diolch am y tymor hwn, dydi hi ddim wedi bod yn hawdd mewn cynghrair gystadleuol iawn. Mae yna lot o hogia ifanc talentog yn dod drwodd, felly, dw i’n siwr bod gan y clwb ddyfodol disglair. Gobeithio y gallwn ni orffen y tymor gyda gêm wych yn erbyn Gwalchmai dydd Sadwrn. Byddai'n wych cael torf dda yno i gefnogi’r hogia.
I holl aelodau’r pwyllgor a’r noddwyr dros y blynyddoedd, hebddoch chi fyddai na ddim clwb. Diolch am eich holl waith caled drwy gydol y flwyddyn i gadw’r clwb i fynd. I’r cefnogwyr, rydych chi wedi bod yn wych gyda mi; gobeithio y bydd y mwyafrif yn edrych yn ôl ar fy nghyfnod ac yn falch o'r hyn wnaethon ni ei gyflawni - o'r dyddiau cynnar ym Malltraeth i lle rydyn ni wedi cyrraedd heddiw. Diolch yn arbennig i'r rhai sydd wedi fy helpu fel rhan o’r tîm rheoli dros y blynyddoedd. Mi gawson ni amseroedd gwych ac mae gynnon ni gysylltiad arbennig. Dil, Ernie ac Io, faswn i ddim wedi dewis
gwneud y blynyddoedd diwethaf yma efo unrhyw un arall. Dach chi wedi gweithio mor galed ac wedi bod yn ffrindiau da ac yn bobl ffantastig.
Diolch i’r holl glybiau rydan ni wedi’u hwynebu dros y blynyddoedd ac i’r ffrindiau dan ni wedi’u gwneud ar draws Gogledd Cymru a thu hwnt. Dan ni wedi ymweld â chaeau gwych i gyfarfod â phobl wych a dyna hanfod pêl-droed ar lawr gwlad. I’r dyfarnwyr, mi wnes i gyd-dynnu efo’r rhan fwyaf ohonoch chi a fyddai na ddim gêm ar ddydd Sadwrn hebddoch chi. Dydach chi ddim yn cael y parch dach chi'n ei haeddu ar adegau ond dan ni i gyd yn gwerthfawrogi'r gwaith dach chi'n ei wneud.
Mae fy niolch olaf a’r mwyaf yn mynd i fy nheulu: Gwenan, Awen a Mei. Dw i’n gwybod cymaint dach chi wedi fy nghefnogi i dros y blynyddoedd, y ffaith nad oeddwn i adra y rhan fwyaf o ddydd Sadwrn/sesiynau hyfforddi a phopeth arall sy’n mynd law yn llaw efo bod yn rheolwr e.e. y ffôn yn canu’n llawer rhy aml ac yn methu tynnu fy meddwl oddi ar y clwb ar adegau. Dw i’n edrych ymlaen at ein hamser efo’n gilydd rŵan heb orfod cynllunio ar gyfer y tymor nesa a dim ond cynllunio ein diwrnodau efo’n gilydd heb orfod trefnu hynny o gwmpas y pêl-droed. I Mam a Dad sydd wedi gwneud cymaint dros y clwb ac i mi – diolch.
Mi hoffwn ddymuno’r gorau i bawb sy’n gysylltiedig â’r clwb yn y dyfodol a dymuno pob llwyddiant i’r rheolwr nesaf.
Dim ond un ffordd sydd ‘na I ddod â’r neges hon i ben, fel y bydda’ Phil Bach yn ei ddweud “Dilly Dilly”. ?
It is with regret that I have to inform you as a club that this Saturday’s match against Gwalchmai will be my last as manager. I have decided to step down as manager after 15 wonderful years and over 500 games in charge. Dilwyn Jones, John Earnshaw and Ioan Llewelyn will also be leaving the club.
I have really enjoyed my time volunteering at this club, firstly as a player, and then suddenly as the manager on a temporary basis. That lasted until now, in that period gaining my B licence with the support of the club. In that period I think I have played every role on the committee and done every
task I could to help the club, from cleaning the kit to cutting the grass and being the first to arrive and last to leave each Saturday. There is nothing but fond memories for me as we weaved our way up the pyramid system with some cup giant killings along the way, and not only being competitive on the field but also working hard off it to ensure we met any ground criteria that we faced to get promoted, which included a lot of grant applications – the pinnacle reaching tier 3 ground criteria a few years ago as a club.
So much work goes on to keep a club like ours at this level and I have nothing but thanks to everyone who supported me over the years. We have an incredible community spirit and some fantastic individuals that would literally drop tools to help us. To all the players that played for me thank you – I know that I ask a lot of the players and it is a serious commitment on a weekly basis and I have nothing but respect to you all; many of you are among my best friends and hopefully when times were hard for you that you knew that I was there for you. To the current players thank you for this season it hasn’t been easy in a very competitive league and with a lot of young men coming through who are so talented the club certainly has a bright future. Hopefully we can finish the season with a great game against Gwalchmai on Saturday it would be great to get a good crowd there to get behind the lads.
To all committee members and sponsors over the years without you there wouldn’t be a club – thank you for all the hard work that goes in year on year to keep the club going. Supporters you have been great with me; hopefully the majority will look back at my time and be proud of what we achieved, from the early days in Malltraeth to where we are today. A special thank you to those who helped me as part of the management team over the years. We had some great times and have a special bond; Dil, Ernie and Io I wouldn’t have wished to have done these last few years with anyone else, you have worked so hard and have been genuine friends and are top top people.
To all the clubs that we faced over the years and friends made across North Wales and beyond thank you; we have visited some great grounds to meet some great people and that is what grassroots football is all about. To the match officials; I got on with most of you and there wouldn’t be a game on a Saturday without you; you don’t get the respect you deserve at times but we all do appreciate the work that you do.
My final and biggest thanks goes to my family: Gwenan, Awen and Mei; I know how much you have supported me to be able to be away from home most Saturday’s/ training sessions and everything else that goes with being a manager e.g. the phone going far too often and not being able to switch off at times. I look forward to our time together now without having to plan for pre season but just planning our day’s without working it around football. To my mum and dad who have done so much for the club and for me – diolch.
I would like to wish everyone associated with the club all the very best for the future and wish the next manager every success.
There is only one way to end this message as Phil Bach would say “Dilly Dilly”. ?
