Manager Mark Jat has stepped down as Llanrug United’s 1st Team Manager.

The club would like to place on record our gratitude and best wishes to Mark Jat who has decided to step down due to promotion and increased work commitments within the Fire Service.

Mark joined United's Management Team during the summer of 2013 initially as an Assistant to Manager Aled Owen, and in his first season United won the coveted FAW Trophy.

Following Aled Owen’s resignation Mark was appointed Manager of the club for the 2015/2016 season, and during his three seasons at the helm United finished a creditable 5th, 3rd and 3rd in the 1st Division of The Welsh Alliance League and winning the Mawddach Cup in May 2017. Mark re-joined the Club as Manager for the 2019/2020 season.

Officials, Players and Supporters of CPD Llanrug United FC are sad to see Mark leave, but congratulate him and are very proud of his achievements at United. We wish him the very best of luck, and someday hopefully see him again at Eithin Duon.

United’s Chairman Emyr Pritchard commented:
‘I am as everybody else at Llanrug United very sad to lose Mark, but we understand and respect his wishes. Thanks for the hard work and the memories and most of all the many laughs’.

Mark’s replacement will be announced in due course.

Mark Jat commented:
‘It is with deep regret that I have had to resign as manager; my current work commitments have dictated that I can no longer give the commitment that the job needs’.

‘I would like to thank the committee for all their support, the players and the supporters. I would also like personally thank Jonathan Peris Jones, Dylan Owen and Sion Eifion Jones for all their support and hard work as my assistant’s’.

‘I wish the new management team all the best for the coming season and hope they can carry on the successful period the club has seen in recent years’.
