Following the departure of Barry Owen earlier this week, Matt Sampson has been appointed Llanrwst United's new manager.
Sampson was brought onto Barry's management team in September following his previous role at Colwyn Bay where he saw the club gain promotion to the Cymru Premier in the 2022/23 season.
Matt Sampson on his appointment:
"It's a privilege to take the manager's role of a community driven club with huge potential and a fantastic squad of players, staff and volunteers.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Barry for bringing me into the club at the start of the season, along with that the sterling work he has put in behind the scenes of this club to put it in the strong position where it is today.
I've been with the group since early September when we went to Felinheli away where everyone has made me feel welcome, and we've grown since then. As soon as Chris Wills and Davey offered me the opportunity to take the helm, it was a no brainer, and this seems to be a perfect fit for myself personally and professionally.
I'm looking forward to taking us as a collective to compete in every game and every competition with this talented group of players."
