Today’s hosts have already begun their competitive season with a narrow defeat against tier two outfit Gresford in the MG cup last month, a competition they were invited into after finishing third in the Ardal Northwest last season.

The Rwsters have had a strong pre season with plenty of players gaining valuable minutes in the tank ahead of what will be a very competitive season in the third tier. Results have included a 4-2 victory over Llanfair United and a 1-0 victory against Penycae.

One notable absentee for Friday’s game will be new signing Leon Doran who is away representing Wales in a UEFA Regions Cup preparation match over in the Republic of Ireland, we wish him and the Wales squad the best of luck.

Rwsters manager Barry Owen is confident going into Friday night’s game after a positive pre season period and after seeing some key signings sign for the club, ‘’ I’m delighted with the signings we have made so far; they add quality and experience to our side which will provide a big boost for us this season’’.

Barry also explained the importance of getting local lads into the Rwsters side, ‘’We wanted to add local lads into the team and all our signings are just that, they know what it means to play for Llanrwst and I’m sure they will be successful here’’.
