Llan score 8 as they take 3 points from Waun.

We expected a tough test as we always do at Waunfawr but on arrival we found out that they had more or less their 1st 11 missing. We did what we had to do, a workmanlike performance never coming close to our last performances against Holyhead and 2nd half vs Nefyn. We scored early in the game, the best of the 8 as it happens, Sion Parry from about 25 yards out with a right foot shot that flew into the top corner. it became 2-0 after 12 minutes, a Sion Parry corner was headed into his own net by a Waun defender. It became 3-0 soon after, another Sion Parry corner was headed goalwards by Darren Parry only for the Waunfawr goalkeeper to pull of a brilliant save but this time Joe Soar pounced to poke the ball in from 6 yards. On 31 minutes it became 4-0 when Joe Soar, bursting forward from midfield, cut the ball back to Darren Parry who controlled and drilled a shot into the bottom right corner. Sion Parry's deliveries from corners and free kicks was causing the Waun defence all sort of trouble and we were unlucky not to add to our lead before half time.
10 minutes into the second half it was 5-0, Rhys Hughes was brought down in the area by the Waun keeper and Sion Parry converted the resulting penalty. 5 minutes later and we added to our lead again, well worked down the right hand side Darren Parry broke free and cut the ball back for Sion Parry who finished well with a first time finish. 5 minutes later it was 7, the Waun keeper coming out to collect the ball only to drop it at the feet of Darren Parry who showed good composure in rounding the keeper and scoring his second. On 72 minutes it became Caron Hughes' chance to join in the action when Waun won a penalty, Caron guessed right and saved the penalty keeping his hopes of a clean sheet alive. In the 85th minute Darren completed his hat-trick with a good finish inside the area. the last 15/20 we became complacent giving away a few chances and had Waun taken them they could've scored 3/4 goals but Caron Hughes pulled off some good saves and some poor finishing from Waun meant it stayed 8-0, in injury time though Waun did get on the score sheet when a cross was headed in for a consolation goal.

All in all, it was quite a strange game, we've played better than that this season and lost. I must give credit to Waunfawr though, their effort all game was brilliant and never once gave up. As for us, we did our job, 3 points in the bag.
